Every mushroom shown here is the real, hand-sculpted piece, already in stock and ready to ship.

Each specimen is hand-built from polymer clay and painted gill by gill. No molds, no resin, no two ever alike.

Somewhere, a fairy still lives under a red-capped roof.

Long before field guides and Latin names, most of us met mushrooms in a story. A gnome's front door built into a toadstool. A ring of caps in the grass that opened into another world if you stepped inside at the right hour. A forest so thick with fungi it felt like it was hiding something. Every piece here carries a little of that first feeling, from before a mushroom was just a mushroom.

Bring one home, and that forest is a little closer than it used to be.

Inspired by nature, shaped by hand.

No factory line, no molds, no shortcuts. Every mushroom starts as a real one, studied closely, then brought to life one detail at a time, entirely by hand.

01

Study

It starts with a real mushroom: its color, its curve, the way light sits on a real cap. Nothing is sculpted from imagination alone.

02

Sculpt

Clay is shaped by hand, detail by detail, cap and gill and stem, until it starts to feel alive. No two are ever quite the same.

03

Paint

Every freckle and vein is painted by hand, layer by layer, the last touch before a piece is truly finished.

Every single piece, from first sketch to final coat, passes through one pair of hands. That's what makes it one of one.

Our story

Real mushrooms disappear in days. These don't.

It started on a walk through wet grass in Vietnam, the morning after rain, when the ground turns silver with mushrooms that will collapse by the weekend. Fungi are some of the strangest, oldest organisms on earth, and some of the most fleeting. A cap can rise overnight and vanish within days, leaving nothing behind.

Every piece here is an attempt to hold onto one of those mornings. A real species, studied up close, then rebuilt slowly by hand in polymer clay, never cast, never repeated on purpose. What comes out the other side is closer to a small sculpture than a decoration, the kind of thing a mushroom-obsessed friend would stop mid-sentence to look at.

If your shelf already holds too many field guides, or you stop to photograph every mushroom you pass on a hike, this studio was built for people like you.

Notes from the field.

“The detail on the gills under the cap stopped me in my tracks. Mine sits by the kettle every morning.”

Freya Nolan, Bristol, UK

“I've bought resin mushrooms before and they always look the same. This one has real texture, like it grew that way.”

Before you ask.

Will it survive the mail?

Every piece ships in a fitted box built around its shape, not loose in foam peanuts. If anything arrives damaged, we replace it.

Who pays the customs fees?

Most orders to the US, UK, and EU won't see a separate bill. If your country does charge one, it's usually a few dollars, not a surprise.

How big are these, really?

Most pieces stand 3 to 6cm tall, roughly a large coin to a golf ball. The Forest Dioramas run larger, up to 16cm across.
